Starcrossed and Rapha Focus GP

The weekend: started off with a trip to Seattle on Frontier Airlines. Finished with a 6 am departure at the SeaTac airport on Monday. WAY TOO EARLY. Although I was at work by noon…

Field wasn’t as big as it normally is at this race, everyone was taking it easy after Vegas and preparing for Wisconsin I guess… Although Bart was there and that’s all that mattered. It was fast. First day bone dry with one sand pit, barriers and a flyover. Pretty cool turny course and rode well to finish 10th. One more UCI point.

Sunday same thing: Rode with the second group in the race as the leaders were a ways down the road (only finishing about 2 mins up though) and this time it started drizzling a little ways into the race. made a bike change to the muds and corners gripped a little better. Although I began to test the limits. Crashed once on a corner and regained composure with enough time to chase back Troy Wells and Zack. But not enough time to stay with them for very long. Dropped on the last lap and struggled to the finish. A hard fought 3 days of racing in 5 total and my legs need a break. 10th again today. Picing the UCI points together one point at a time: Total count: 3. haha.

Next up, School of Cross Clinic in Edmonton this Wednesday and School of Cross Cyclocross race and HopNhurl this weekend in Edmonton!
